Christmas nativities
Every Year Foundation Stage and Year 1 and 2 dazzle us with a star studded nativity.
Our nativities are based on the traditional nativity story, but always with a twist!
Our past classics have been, ‘Baaarmy Bethlehem, Busy Busy Bethlehem,Hey Ewe!It’s a party, Ralph The Reindeer’ and many more!
Rehearsals take place throughout November and December. A dress rehearsal enables the whole school to come and enjoy our nativities before a final evening performance in the last couple of weeks running up to the Christmas break.
F1’s nativities are always a true joy, full of music , singing and dancing , every child is involved and this is usually the first time the children have had the opportunity to stand on a real stage.
Our F2 children are supported throughout the process by not only their class teachers and support staff but their Y6 buddies too!
Our Y6 children play a crucial role in the performance involving some of our youngest children. They are responsible for narration, lighting and sound. They are always such fantastic role models and help the performance from our F2 children run smoothly.
Year 1 and 2 do a collaborative nativity. The leading roles are given to our Year 2 children whilst the Year 1’s make up the chorus and more minor roles. The following year , the Year 1’s then have the opportunity to then take on a leading role if they wish.
Our school nativities are a true delight, feedback from parents and family members are always positive and full of praise!
